It’s the middle of the semester and thank god it’s almost
over. The first day of class I think I felt the most overwhelmed after we got
that syllabus I thought this was probably going to be the worst semester of my
life but after some time it’s not that bad. Still bad but not my worst
nightmare that’s still that Pinhead guy from Hellraiser.
My Weaknesses:
1.
I am a procrastinator. I almost always wait to
the last minute because it’s when I usually do my best work. If I start early
on something I do more work than necessary and I try to over complicate the
design with mindless stuff.
2.
I really do overcomplicate assignments just
thinking about all the elements I would like to do. I think it’s that I’ve seen
so many design I like that I’m trying to implement them in one design.
3.
Writing I suck at writing maybe I need to
practice more but writing is not really my strong suit. Practice makes perfect
though.
My Strengths:
1.
Design I love to develop concepts and think creatively
with my design. It makes the process more difficult but I love figure out new
things that I can do in design. It makes my future career field interesting
because it’s not stagnant.
2.
Color selection: I always try to pull colors
from my design so that my piece seems cohesive. When you use colors that are
from your design instead of one’s that you like or pulled from your history
your design loses something.
How I’m going to improve:
1.
I need to develop a better system to make sure I
develop my design over the course of a semester or a design phase.
2.
I have to simplify the method I use to develop
and implement a design so that I’m not frustrated at the end of the assignment
because I over though how a design should be.
3.
Writing has always been a problem for me so I
think that I need to practice more. I love poetry but the grammar part of
writing isn’t my friend so I’ve going to the tutor lab and signed up for a gamely
account so that has helped me out a great deal.
